Coding Lasers
We, as a result of this overview, have added a new range of CO2 Laser coders for general packaging coding but have also added a range of YAG lasers. With these changes we have not only being able to bring to the market more up to date technology, but we have added a new service offering to our clients’, that of contract product and part coding and marking, at our facilities in Ireland and our UK operation in South Wales which will be on stream later this year.
The CO2 lasers, are used to produce BBE dates, product or production details, 2 D data matrix codes, onto a variety of materials and substrates, but by using the latest design and technical developments, such as fibre lasers, ensuring quick and easy installation, set up and maintenance, we have dramatically reduced the investment in such laser systems and also undertaken direct and smarter purchasing. Also, we now have a direct relationship with all our component suppliers by removing the local middle man.
The YAG lasers are used in a variety of applications, and we now undertake specific customer customization for non standard installations IE specialized traverse units for web or sheet fed installations. Also, we are undertaking small and large production runs for customers in the sales promotion industry, IE: promotional pens and key fobs, car part manufacturing, timber production, glass marking, medical devices and medical implantable products, the type of applications we are asked to mark or code is endless. This concept is known also as Job Shopping.
Coding Inks and solvents
In addition to the laser coders, there is still a demand for a cost effective supplier of Inks and solvents, and sensibly priced high resolution and Drop on demand coders, and CIJ printers.
